Portfolio Update : February 2020

This is the second update to my portfolio in 2020 and entirely based on my StashAway account statement as I’m slowly moving long term investment to StashAway.

2020 wasn’t a good start for investment. After a little unrealized loss at the end of January 2020 and some unrealized profit in the middle of February 2020, it ended up with -$1,801.42 as Coronavirus (Covid-19) fears turn into market panic. Actually it wasn’t the worst as fears and market panic lasted until now.

I added $7000 from cash and personal saving in February so in total I have $53k total investment before unrealized loss.

I’m aware that all investments involve some risk and with Covid-19 fear lasted until now and still continue, it may safe to increase my cash emergency fund. I’ll be stay focus on my long-term goals and my financial independence plan despite the fluctuations in the financial markets and other factors may cause declines in the value of my investment.

I hope things get better in the coming months.
