OpenOffice 3.0 Final Released & Download Link

OpenOffice 3.0 will be officially released on October 13, 2008, as scheduled on their RoadMap. However, the installation file was already exist on some mirror server. It would be as preparation phase so we can expect that on the specified date, the installation file will be already available.

Anyway, if we could not wait until October 13, 2008, we can find some external mirror that already provide Open Office 3.0 installation file.

Here is some link available for OpenOffice 3.0 download :

  1. OpenOffice for Linux (tar.gz)
  2. OpenOffice for Windows (exe)

I also have a copy of these file on my personal upload folder.

Before the released of OpenOffice 3.0, I’ve testing the Beta and Release Candidate that built for openSUSE 11.0 and quite impressed with the quality with this new version. It looks nicer and faster than previous version. You can find a complete set of OpenOffice 3.0 features here and here.

Petr Mladek has built the latest RC OpenOffice 3.0 for openSUSE and we hope he could build the stable version in a few days. If you wish to applied latest version and then upgraded it later, try the RC4 OpenOffice for openSUSE 11.0.
